Hope crushed the NYC Marathon! So many reasons to be proud of this one.

The man has such a history that at least one other commedian (himself not a *great* dude) has a whole bit about watching him try to rape someone and intervening.

Applying the rule of law to the powerful and the very rich, with appropriate consequences, is so rare as to be shocking to everyone else, and *shattering* to those facing such consequences.

And of course it's retributive? Our justice systems are punitive, not restorative. It's ALWAYS retributive.

he might finally have time to find that bible passage he lost on Piers Morgan's show

Folks, JP is good people and Tangent Space is a such a cool space opera system. If you've got the time, hit JP up!

Wrong. He said it would be over after a week of bombing. Said the people would rise up, there would be regime change, a pro-US Iranian govt would take power, and we would make tons of money from Iran’s oil just like Venezuela. That’s EXACTLY what he said was going to happen. bsky.app/profile/atru...

Do you guys remember the “This is a picture of my handsome son who nobody will date because of woke. I VOTE.” lady? I think of her randomly sometimes, and hope the son is having a really good day.

#DnD advice: Bards can learn their spells by cramming on Khan Academy right before the exam.

You’re thinking of Marco Rubio.

Had to drop off my car for all new tires which is financially excruciating but they gave me a loaner so we could go hike, and since it’s so early we watched the sun rise over the lake. Not sure which one of these I like the best so I’m posting four of them, lol. Scroll down if you’re interested.

There is, best price I have seen for them. I think it actually may be more than 15% for the base console.

Again, I bought mine full price, one of my favorite purchases ever. We play it almost every day.

Last year, my grad students politely asked me to change an assignment where they would have criticized AI output about the city, marking up the inaccuracies (it was a class about Detroit).

I did. They wrote community project proposals instead.

So many don't want to touch AI *at all.*

I’m not so sure running a useless Trump family member out there to regurgitate the same talking points that just failed miserably is the best plan, but I’m not in the business of giving advice to Republicans so you do you. bsky.app/profile/atru...

I love where I live.

I live on the shore of an isolated cove on a beautiful lake, surrounded by forest, no real neighbors, across the street are the dunes that inspired DUNE, we are a mile from the ocean.

Mountains and lakes and trails everywhere.

Went for a walk and met this friendly fellow.

lol

Spineless Republicans in Congress refused to ever say no to Trump, so voters said no to them.

Thinking. Would Stacey Abrams be eligible for a MacArthur genius grant? The Nobel (although that's for international peace work)? I don't know much about awards beyond academia...

Black women do SO much good work that matters in the world, but we are under rewarded for the good work that we do.

Reversing Trump’s tariffs and ending his stupid Middle East adventurers will immediately cause prices to come down. If Democrats can accomplish that, things will become more affordable. And when that happens, I have every confidence that Trump will take all the credit for it.

‘The Country Has Rebuked You!’
It’s Thursday. There are 732 days until the next election. JD makes a run for it, Trump self-soothes in his ballroom and Hegseth’s seat gets hot.

Let’s do this!

#zelda #nintendoswitch2

There are countless clips of JD Vance belittling his own children, and not a single one of him saying that he’s opposed to going to war with Iran. Retroactive opposition, because you got obliterated in an election, doesn't count.

Millennials, I truly believe that your generation entering middle age and aging into national leadership is the thing that may save us all... and thank God.

Because actually, I don't need to see a President from my generation if one of these Millennial rising stars can take us where we need to go.

We were promised a lot of cool stuff. So where is it?

Time to geek out about what came true, what changed along the way, and what’s still stubbornly futuristic.

Let the record show that before the midterms, R’s in Congress were running scared from Trump's endorsement. That’s how bad he is, statistically and otherwise. The GOP has a voter base that goes out of their way to vote red no matter what and they were still like “OMG, what do we do?”

That was kinda hard to watch...

I won two jalapeño eating contests in youth group against older guy friends of mine who were bigger and athletic.

I don't really do spicy foods, didn't like jalapeños, I'm just stubborn and don't like it when people assume I can't do something. 😅

The problem for the billionaires, trillionaires, far right and center is that we're locked in now. We're not sleeping between elections anymore.

Not only are we holding pols accountable, plenty of us are:

--locally engaged;
--keeping track of local/state/federal;
--already looking ahead to 2028.

Democrat Adam Hamilton, the projected winner in Kansas's Senate race, leads by about five percentage points.

Compared to the 2022 gubernatorial election, which Democrats also won, Hamilton ran ahead in the Kansas City area, Wichita, as well as a handful of rural areas.
